American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor

Program Overview:
Join us for an engaging American Sign Language (ASL) class designed for beginners.

Participants will learn the ASL alphabet, numbers, and essential communication skills, focusing on both receptive (understanding/sign recognition) and expressive (signing) techniques. Each class includes vocabulary building, grammar fundamentals, and daily conversational practice.

Students will also explore Deaf culture and history, gaining a deeper understanding of the American Deaf community and its rich heritage.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Master the ASL alphabet and number system
  • Develop basic conversational skills through daily vocabulary use
  • Understand ASL grammar and sentence structure
  • Build cultural awareness of the Deaf community
  • Strengthen both expressive and receptive signing abilities
