Leadership (Mentoring) Instructor
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of leaders? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Leadership (Mentoring) Instructor to lead engaging after-school programs that help students develop confidence, communication, teamwork, and positive decision-making skills.
As the instructor, you will create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can strengthen leadership abilities through interactive activities, group discussions, team-building exercises, community-focused projects, and hands-on learning experiences. The ideal candidate enjoys mentoring youth, serving as a positive role model, and helping students build the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Program Schedule
Grades 1-6
- Dates: August 13, 2026 – September 18, 2026
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Time: 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Grades 7-8
- Dates: August 13, 2026 – September 18, 2026
- Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Time: 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead age-appropriate leadership and mentoring activities.
- Foster confidence, teamwork, communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Encourage students to demonstrate responsibility, respect, and positive character.
- Facilitate engaging discussions, team challenges, and leadership projects.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Supervise students throughout the program and ensure their well-being.
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and program coordinators.
- Arrive prepared with organized lesson plans and materials.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or teens in educational, recreational, mentoring, or youth development settings preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Reliable, organized, patient, and enthusiastic.
- Passion for helping young people develop leadership and life skills.
