6:30 – 7:30 PM (9th – 12th Grade)
Position Overview
The Springfield Jewish Community Center is seeking a knowledgeable and motivating Multisport Training Instructor to lead progressive training sessions for youth in grades 5–12. This program is designed to build athleticism, improve performance, and develop sport-specific fundamentals across a variety of disciplines. The goal is to prepare young athletes with the skills, confidence, and fitness foundation to succeed in multiple sports.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead age-appropriate training sessions for middle school (5th–8th) and high school (9th–12th) participants.
Incorporate drills and exercises that develop strength, endurance, agility, coordination, and teamwork.
Introduce and refine sport-specific skills across multiple sports (e.g., basketball, soccer, baseball, fitness drills).
Create a positive and inclusive environment where athletes are encouraged to challenge themselves.
Monitor safety and provide appropriate modifications for different ability levels.
Track participant progress and adapt sessions to meet group needs.
Set up and break down equipment before and after class.
Qualifications
Background in coaching, physical education, personal training, or youth sports instruction.
Strong understanding of multi-sport training principles and athletic development.
Experience working with middle and high school students.
Ability to design engaging, structured sessions that balance skill development and fun.
Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
