Entrepreneurship Instructor
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for inspiring the next generation of innovators? We are seeking an engaging, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Entrepreneurship Instructor to lead an after-school enrichment program for middle school students.
The instructor will introduce students to the exciting world of entrepreneurship through hands-on activities, creative challenges, and real-world business concepts. Participants will learn how to develop business ideas, identify customer needs, create simple business plans, understand budgeting and marketing basics, and strengthen leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The program encourages creativity, innovation, teamwork, and confidence while helping students explore what it takes to turn ideas into successful ventures.
Program Schedule
- Location: Visalia, CA
- Dates: August 13, 2026 – September 18, 2026
- Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Time: 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM
- Grade Levels: 7th – 8th Grade
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging entrepreneurship lessons and interactive business activities.
- Teach foundational business concepts, including idea generation, budgeting, marketing, branding, customer service, and financial literacy.
- Guide students through creative projects such as developing a business concept or product pitch.
- Encourage innovation, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, and effective communication.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students feel confident sharing ideas.
- Supervise students throughout the program and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and program coordinators.
- Arrive prepared with lesson plans, instructional materials, and project resources.
Qualifications
- Experience in business, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, economics, education, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience teaching, mentoring, coaching, or working with youth is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for helping young people develop leadership, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, patient, and able to make business concepts engaging for middle school students.
